IVA 2013 - Call for Workshop Proposals
--------------------------------------

IVA 2013 will host workshops in current and emerging topic areas related 
to Intelligent Virtual Agents. The goal of the IVA workshops is to 
provide a forum for informal and lively discussions and research 
presentations on emerging applications, technologies, concepts or ideas 
related to Intelligent Virtual Agents.

Workshops will be held on Wednesday August 28, 2013 and Sunday September 
1, 2013; the days adjacent to the main IVA conference.

We invite workshop proposals on any current or emerging topic of 
relevance for the field of Intelligent Virtual Agents. In particular we 
welcome workshop proposals from international collaborative research 
projects as well as workshops targeting research communities or applied 
fields where Intelligent Virtual Agents and associated technologies are 
becoming increasingly relevant, for example e-learning, human-robot 
interaction, assistive technology, computer games and interactive 
entertainment.

Workshop proposals for IVA 2013 should include
*   The title, acronym and the goals of the workshop
*   Names and contact information for the organisers
*   The specific topics that will be addressed by the workshop
*   Whether the workshop has run before, and if so where/when
*   The relevance and significance of this workshop to the main conference
*   The estimated paper submission volume and paper acceptance rate
*   Full day or half day workshop program
*   A draft workshop call for papers
*   The paper selection process
*   A list of potential program committee members and their affiliations
*   Potential invited speakers, if any

Evaluation of workshop proposals will be based on the
quality of the proposal, the level of details, the workshop theme and 
its relevance to IVA 2013. Workshop proposals should not exceed 5 pages.

Important dates:

January 28, 2013: Workshop proposals due
February 18, 2013: Notification of acceptance
August 28 and September 1, 2013: Workshops
