Description: The Interactive Systems Laboratories are jointly located at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh and at University of Karlruhe in Germany. We aim to develop user interfaces that improve human-machine and human-to-human communication. Two challenging examples of our interests are the development of a speech-to-speech translation system (the JANUS project) and multimodal interfaces (the INTERACT project). |
