Description: IPO is an internationally renowned center for multidisciplinary scientific research on user-system interaction. In consultation with industry and government, IPO focuses on the development and design of user-friendly interfaces for products, services and systems in multimedia environments. The goals of IPO's Spoken Language Interfaces programme (SLI) are (1) to demonstrate the applicability of speech as a modality for user-system interaction, and (2) to do internationally competitive research contributing to the improvement of speech-based interaction. The SLI products are demonstrators or prototypes of speech interfaces for real-life applica-tions, algorithms or devices that show a proof of concept for newly developed speech tech-nology and reports of SLI research in the form of journal papers, conference papers and PhD theses. |
