Albert received the Ph.D. degree in Telecommunication Engineering from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC). From 1996 up to his incorporation into ATLAS in the year 2001, he was a researcher in the Center of Technology and Applications of Language and Speech (TALP) of the UPC, where he worked on projects on voice codification and text-to-speech conversion, the latter being his PhD thesis subject. In fall of 1999 he was an invited researcher in the department of research on text-to-speech conversion at Bell Labs, Lucent Technologies, NJ (EEUU). Albert is currently Technical Director at ATLAS. |
