Senior Scientist at SCLE (Sony Corporate Laboratories Europe, Stuttgart), one 
of the most important R&D centers of Sony in Europe.
Area: Signal processing, emotion and speech recognition.
- Project leader: “Emotion Recognition from Speech Signal”. In charge 
of 4 people. Managing collaboration with other departments. 
- Responsible, among others, for the European speech recognition of different 
products, such as AIBO (Sony entertainment robot).
- Master thesis supervisor.
 
September 1998 – June 1999 UNIVERSITY OF MANCHESTER 
Manchester, UK
Research project on digital speech processing for CASE Technology Ltd. (UK) at 
the University of Manchester. The aim of the project was to achieve a suitable 
and efficient quantization of variable dimension vectors whose elements are DCT 
coefficients of voiced speech residual prototypes, maintaining the highest 
possible quality using the least number of bits at the lowest cost.
