Maghi King has been active in the human language technologies field since the
late 1960's and has been a member of ISSCO since 1974. She is Professor of
Machine Translation at the Geneva University School of Translation and
Interpretation, where she teaches translation technology. She is a fellow and
past president of the European Coordinating Committee for Artificial
Intelligence, and past president of the International Association for Machine
Translation, the European Association for Machine Translation and of the
European Association for Computational Linguistics. She has collaborated in
numerous European, international and national research projects, and has
substantial experience of consultancy work for public and private agencies. She
is author of over a hundred technical publications in the fields cited.
