the Automatic Speech Recognition group.
Responsible of the front-end of a speech recognizer
dedicated to telephony applications. Design,
implementation, organisation and follow-up of all
research and development activities, team coordination.
1997-2001 Project Manager at Lernout & Hauspie Speech
Products, Belgium (http://www.lhsl.com), in
the Corporate Research and Development department:
- 1997-1999: Responsible of the research and
development cycle of speech recognition products for
tonal languages (170 man/months over 3 years).
- 2000: Development of a language learning system
- 2000-2001: Responsible of the development of a
dialogue-based car navigation system (295 man/month
over 2 years).
The common tasks were the definition of the projects,
planning of budget and resources, organisation and
follow-up of all research and development activities,
team coordination.
1995-96 Research associate at the Institute for Perception
Research, Eindhoven, The Netherlands, in the Hearing and
Speech Group (Institute co-sponsored by Philips Research
and the Eindhoven University of Technology)

1990-92 Design and development of the automatic generation
module of prosody for French in the multilingual text-to-
speech synthesis system developed within the framework of
the POLYGLOT European-ESPRIT 2104 project
(collaboration with Philips, Bull & Olivetti) (2.5 years)
