Mikhail Simonov. Graduated in 1987 from the Moscow State University as Dr.-Ing. 
specialised on Computer Science. He worked as teacher of Mathematics and 
Informatics in a High School, in Russian research centres in following areas: 
space, air traffic control, industrial automation (PLC), ICT. He attended a 
stage in management consultancy, worked in Financial Department dealing with 
import-export, commercial contracting, financial and export related funding and 
insurance. He is certified as qualified interpreter-translator. After a long 
experience in application projects, especially in Insurance and Banking 
environments, he performs R&D activities since 1999. He is an expert evaluator 
on the framework programmes of the European Commission DG INFSO. He 
participates in Industrial Advisory Board of Wonderweb project, in ONTOWEB 
network, in VISION network. Main areas of competence and experience include 
Knowledge Management, Genetic Algorithms, Financial Modelling, Ontology, 
Natural Language processing, Fuzzy Logic and Data Mining.
