Dear Prof.:

I am an Associate Professor at the Univ. Politec. de Catalunya Barcelona.
I am now involved in some work on approximate personal-name matching and
retrieval, APNMR, for the local administration of Catalonia (Spain).

Iam looking for an answer to the following questions:

	Who is currently working on APNMR?

	From 1992 till today, wich are the published relevant
	works on the subject or closely related ones?

	Does it exist some public (multilangage?) corpora (expl: pairs of
	correct/erroneous(or variant) personal names) that can be
	used to compare the efficacy of different algorithms?

I would be very glad to receive some help from you.
