The University of West Bohemia (Department of Computer Science), Technical
University of Kosice (Department of Cybernetics and Artificial Intelligence),
University of Ljubljana (Faculty of Electrical Engineering), and the
University of Erlangen - Nuremberg (Department of Pattern Recognition)
organize a joint workshop on multi-lingual information retrieval dialogs
which will be held in Plzen (Pilsen), Czech Republic.
The workshop program will contain 4 invited talks in duration of 45 min.
(one to each workshop topic), 20 problem presentations (20 min. each) about
topics of the workshop, sufficient time to discuss the presented problems
and the results achieved within the frames of the Copernicus joint research
project SQEL, and three cultural events - tour to the scenic West Bohemian
woods and visit to the historical city of Klatovy (on Sunday April 27),
a reception and tour of the Pilsen Urquell Brewery (on Monday April 28th
afternoon), and an excursion to the Kozel castle (on Tuesday April 29th
afternoon).
Authors who wish to present a paper at the workshop should send their
full-length draft paper (in English using the LLNCS style in LaTeX)
either in the form of an uuencoded postscript file to the e-mail address
sqel97@gina.zcu.cz or in the printed form (3 hard-copies) to the Workshop
Secretariat by February 15, 1997. Notification of acceptance will be sent by
March 15, 1997.
The full papers (10 pages for invited talks and 4 pages for problem
presentations) will be published in the proceedings of the workshop.
Necessary informations about the LLNCS style are available
at the http address indicated below.
The papers should include:
* the title of the paper,
* author's name, address, telephone and fax number, and e-mail address,
* abstract,
* up to ten (four) pages of text and figures.
Registration fee:
$ 300 ($ 150 for participants from Eastern European Countries,
Kc 3000,- for participants from the Czech Republic,
SK 3500,- for participants from Slovakia )
The registration fee covers:
* bus transfer from Munich to Pilsen (via Klatovy on Sunday April 27),
* 3 overnights in Pilsen,
* 3 breakfasts, 2 lunches, 3 dinners and the reception and tour
of the Pilsen Urquell Brewery,
* workshop proceedings,
* transfer to the Prague airport (on Wednesday April 30).
