                        CALL FOR PAPERS

International workshop "Speech and Computer" - SPECOM'97 will be
concerned with the most important topics of speech interaction
with computer.

The main topics to be covered include (but are not limited to):

Speech analysis, coding and modelling
Speech recognition and understanding
Text-to-speech synthesis
Systems, hardware and architecture for speech processing
Phonetics, phonology and prosody
Conceptual models of natural language
Models for spoken language semantic interpretation
Spoken language translation models
Applied systems

SUBMISSION PROCEDURE

Prospective authors should submit 1-2-page abstracts of no more
than 500 words for review. Submission should include a title,
author's names, affiliations, address, telephone and fax numbers
and e-mail address if any. Please indicate the topic area of
interest closest to your submission.
Electronic and fax abstracts submission will be preferred.

Camera-ready full papers (maximum 6 pages) will be published in
the proceedings distributed at the workshop. They must be sent
to Organizing Committee by regular mail. Instructions about the
form of camera-ready papers will be distributed later.
