Especially recommended workshop:
The Language of Business
the Business of Language
Wednesday 2 December (full-day workshop), Austria Center Vienna
A workshop at IST 98
Overview of programme
Spoken and written language is the most powerful and flexible
means of expressing and communicating human knowledge. We are all
bound by language, and yet language and its embedded cognitive and
communicative features are difficult to master and exploit,
especially in today's increasingly global economy and digital
society. This workshop will review recent advances and ongoing
developments in the area of language technologies supporting
multilinguality, interactivity and knowledge management, together
with their impact on current and future business capabilities.
