Haskins Laboratories is an independent research institute with a primary focus on the biological bases of speech and language. The Laboratories is a private, non-profit research laboratory that was founded in 1935, and named after its founder, Dr. Caryl P. Haskins. Currently, our main areas of research include speech perception, synthesis and analysis, speech production, motor behavior, linguistics, phonetics, reading, cognitive science, ecological psychology, nonlinear dynamics and complexity. |
