The Institute is oriented to theoretical and applied
research in technical cybernetics, informatics, information technology and
artificial intelligence. The speech research is concentrated on the following
areas:Acoustical phonetics,
speech processing, man-machine communication and dialogue, speech
recognition,analysis, speech recognition in Slovak,
speech synthesis in Slovak, SMS to voice, Mail to voice, voice-operated
information systems
Speech databases building: SpeechDat-E, MobilDat Sk,
and speech database for synthesis - VoiceDat Sk.
