Startpage
Topics, themes, services, structures, sources, ...
This page will be your starting point for finding pointers to
sites, special interest groups, events, initiatives,
publications, people, projects, etc. The collection process has
just started, and every visitor to this page is invited to add
topics and relevant pointers. A very simple web interface makes
it easy to enter new items and to update or delete them when
necessary.
This facility is not only a service to the language and speech
community at large, but can also be used to make your own
achievements, products, company or institution more visible.

Directory of language and speech technology

- Our collection of on-line conference presentations,
tutorials, etc
- Topics, SIGs and

thematic fields, such as machine translation, speech
recognition, language learning, spoken dialogue systems,
etc. Feel free to add new items via a simple web interface.
- Paper and Electronic
Publications
- This will be a collection of pointers to publications.
Where we expect to find publications dedicated to specific
topics in the Topics list, this list will contain
references to general publications, such as surveys, book
series, journals, magazines, etc. Items can be added
on-line.
- Products and Companies
in Natural Language and Speech Processing
- Here we build up a collection of pointers to (commercial
and non-commercial) language and speech products, in order
to promote the use of these technologies. Companies
developing language or speech products may also be
included. Interactive submission and updating.
- Tools for Natural
Language and Speech Processing

made to make life easier for researchers and developers in
the area of language and speech, both generic and for
specific languages. New items can be added on-line.
- Language and Speech

collections of such pointers. Newspapers provide excellent
material for experimental corpora, and are available in
many languages. Additions and updates can be made on-line.

Organisations, Infrastructures and Events
- Pointers to international organisations, infrastructures
and regular events. Add your own organisation!
- National and Regional
Organisations, Infrastructures and Events
- This list will provide you with pointers to national or
regional organisations, infrastructures and events.
Contrary to elsnet-list, where we would normally expect
announcements and messages to be in English and aimed at an
international audience, this list can be used to refer to
items of national or regional importance, irrespective of
the language. Items can be added via a web interface.
- EU Funded Projects in Language and Speech
Processing
- A searchable database of EU funded HLT projects. Updated
continuously. Provided by HLTCentral.
- elsnet-list@elsnet.org
- Our electronic mailing list elsnet-list@elsnet.org (also
accessible via the older address elsnet-list@let.uu.nl)
helps you disseminating your information and posting
queries and questions. All messages are stored in our elsnet-list archive.
- The Calendar of Events and
Deadlines
- Here we list conferences, workshops, summer schools, etc.
They can be ordered by event date and by submission
deadline, which gives you a useful instrument to plan your
conference submissions (and to look for alternatives when
you have just missed the deadline). Submission via elsnet-list@elsnet.org.
- Jobs and CVs
- Jobs and CVs can be posted via elsnet-list, and be searched
via the Jobs and CVs archive.
- Coming up:
- List of resources, interactive submission of messages and
events for elsnet-list, list of publications and
