- ELSNET's workshop
at ACL-2000 in Hong Kong
- This workshop was dedicated to infrastructures for global
collaboration, with a special focus on East Asia.
PowerPoint versions of the presentations are available (and
downloadable) on the workshop website.
- Follow-up activities are being prepared, and will be
published here.

- Asia IT&C
- This is a European Union-funded programme that can
supply up to 80% co-financing to information technology
projects proposed by consortium of organisations from the
EU and 17 Asian countries/territories.
- In the framework of EU-Asia relations, intensified
co-operation in IT&C between Asia and Europe is central to
strenghtening the economic links between the two regions.
In this context, the European Commission launched the Asia
IT&C programme in November 1999, to promote and intensify
alliances in Information Technology and Communications
between the EU Member States and 17 countries/territories
in South and South-East Asia.
