Arabic NLP Workshop at ACL/EACL 2001 in Toulouse

The workshop has taken place on July 6th, and was attended
by some 40 participants. We had ca 30 presentations, including
2 invited talks.

Unfortunately the proceedings of the Arabic Workshop are all sold
out, and will not be reprinted, due to technical problems caused
by the conversion of the Arabic script.

As, due to another, unrelated, technical problem the Arabic Workshop
proceedings didn't make it to the ACL2001 CDROM either, ACL and
ELSNET have agreed to publish the proceedings on the web.

We will do this as soon as we can. You will be able to access the
papers from the workshop page at

There you will also find the PowerPoint files of some of the
presentations.

We will send you a notification via this list as soon as all the
papers are on the web.
