You can now access the papers presented at the Arabic NLP Workshop
at ACL2001 in Toulouse from the following URL:

There you will also find the PowerPoint files of some of the
presentations.

During the concluding session there was a general agreement that
it would be good for the workshop to have a follow-up, possibly
in conjunction with another major event in Europe, e.g. LREC
2002, which will take place at the end of May 2002 in Las Palmas,
Canary Islands, Spain.

A small informal committee has been set up, and will investigate
the possibilities, as well as the scope and the format of the
next event.

We will use our Arabic NLP mailing list elsnet-arabic@elsnet.org
(subscribe via http://www.elsnet.org/subscriptions.html) to keep
you informed and to listen to your suggestions.
