Lithuanian prosody has been investigated by experimental methods

(monograph "The Prosody of Standard Lithuanian" was published in 1982). The system of Lithuanian accentuation is being studied by descriptional methods (monograph "Accentuation", part 1, was published in 1994). Accentuation of Loan-words was described in

separate book (1989). The textbook "Phonetics of Standard Lithuanian" was issued (1st addition in 1986, 2nd addition in 1995). Lectures of Lithuanian phonetics are taken by students of Lithuanian department. Speech signal is mainly processed by PC. Freque

ncy of occurrence of words and its forms in Lithuanian press (newspapers and books) is in research as well. Application for collaboration in this area with the Institute of Lithuanian Language has been recently presented.
