Research Activities pursued at the organisation
The main research areas of the laboratory are: speech analysis and pre-processing (noise reduction, echo cancellation, channel adaptation, barge-in and double-talk detection algorithms), acoustic-phonetic modeling, language modelling, spoken dialogue design and speech synthesis. Speech database design, collection and evaluation. The work also includes development of tools for teaching and training speech handicapped children.
