Research Activities pursued at the organisation
IPI PAN is now a leading national centre of research in computer science.
The research activities are organized in two main departments:
* Department of Theoretical Foundations of Computer Science
* Department of Artificial Intelligence.
There are several working groups within the departments. Their research
focuses on such important topics as:
* software engineering and its mathematical foundations,
* concurrency theory and parallel computer architectures,
* foundations of artificial intelligence,
* man-machine communication and computer graphics,
* computational statistics and decision theory.
