Description: I have been involved in speech technology since 1989. I have a PhD in Elec Eng from Edinburgh University's Center for Speech Technology Research (CSTR). I have worked on both core algorithms (with Voice Processing Corporation /Voice Control Systems) and also on application development/dialog design/tuning. I lead the team which developed Telecom Mobile's WordUp voice portal, which was deployed in Dec 2000. I was Chief Speech Scientist at both Voicenet and Bulletin Wireless. In 2002 I founded SpeechLab Limited. Based in Wellington, New Zealand, Speechlab provides professional services in speech technology and designs and develops voice driven applications. |
