Grant of $800,000 for the GLASS (Generalised Language and Speech)
Project. Grant held jointly with Logica Pty Ltd, AOTC, the National
Acoustic Laboratories, the University of Sydney and Syrinx Speech
Systems. The GLASS Project is one of the first two Australian projects
to parallel the European Union's ESPRIT II projects.
1989-92 Industry, Research and Development Grant of
$454,500, supplemented by $100,000 from Wang Australia for the SPRITE
(Speech Recognition in Technical Environments) Project.

Technology with a grant of $85,600 for the project "An Investigation
of the use of the Attached Index Machine in the Speech Recognition

1988 "The Dicma Project - Building a prototype dictating
machine accepting continuous speech", funded under a R&D agreement
with Wang Australia. $100,000 for proof-of-concept prototype.
