Description: Dr. Limin Du is currently a Chair Professor at the Institute of Acoustics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and the Director of Labs for Speech Interaction Technology Research. He is engaged in a wide range of research on signal processing, speech analysis, speech recognition, speaker recognition, speech synthesis, dialogue and speech-speech translation and has authored or coauthored over 80 published articles. He carried a competition in 1995 in the field of speech technology as a Team Leader of the 100 Talent Programme of Chinese Academy of Sciences. He was with, in 1996, the Research Laboratory of Electronics at MIT, Vassar Street, Boston, as a visiting scientist working on Acoustic Phonetics, and was with, in 1998, Shannon Laboratories at AT&T, Florham Park, New Jersey, as a visiting researcher working on speech-speech translation. He is a senior member of the both IEEE and the Chinese Institute of Electronics (CIE), and Board of CIE. He served on numerous academic committees and conference organizing/technical committees. He is also an Editorial Board member of Acta Electronica Sinica. |
