gilcUB is a research group involved in publicly and privately funded
research in natural language processing. Basic and applied research is carried
out in the following areas: development of large monolingual and multilingual
lexica, morphological analysis and generation, design and implementation of
formal and computational grammars, development of computational tools for text
tagging, machine translation and translation from natural language into
formal languages. Past and current participation in EC-funded initiatives
include the following projects: EUROTRA, EUROLANG, LSGRAM (LRE-61029), MULTEXT
(LRE-62050), TRADE (MLAP-9303), PAROLE (LE2-4017), MELISSA (UE ESPRIT-22252),
SIMPLE (LE4-8346), EAGLES/ISLE (IST-1999-10647), E-MATTER (IST-1999-21042),
PEKING (IST-2000-25338) as well as national programs such as project
PASO-INTERNAT.
