The Laboratoire d'Analyse Informatique de la Parole (LAIP)
is a laboratory whose central project is the exploration of scientific
innovations for the language sciences in the context of a complete,
commercially viable text-to-speech system for French and German. Our
work in synthetic speech is primarily grounded in psycholinguistic and
phonetic evidence. The project is structured into two main components:
+ Research on the computational modelling of the phonetic aspects of
speech.
+ Research on the computational modelling of prosody.
