APIL (Association des Professionnels des Industries de la Langue, i.e. the
Association of Language Industry Professionals) is a non-profit association (by
virtue of the French law of 1901 on charities) founded in July 2001. Its
mandate is to represent actors in the field of Language Technology, and to help
them develop their business and expertise at the national and international
level. It addresses both individuals (general members of the association), and
organizations (as sponsors).
As a professional organization, APIL brings together industrial skills and
efforts in order to advocate common interests and to deliver an
industry-specific message in various contexts.
APIL promotes cooperative action related to language industry. Lines of actions
are organized around several themes: communication, promotion, job,
intelligence, training, and surveys.

APIL mailing list, which is diffused exclusively to APIL members and
sponsors.
