The department comprises three sections: Computer
Linguistics, Corpus Linguistics and Phonetics / Speech Technology. The
research topics in the Phonetics / Speech Technology section are the
following: Automatic speech recognition; Prosody; Text-to-speech
conversion; Voice source modeling; Speaker recognition and speaker
characteristics; Transcription and description of normal and
pathological speech; Speech pathology.
