++ ACM Recommender Systems 2010
++ September 26-30, 2010 :: Barcelona, Spain
++ CALL FOR REPORTS, VIDEOS, AND DEMOS
We are pleased to invite you to participate in the premier annual
event on research and applications of recommendation technologies, the
Fourth ACM Conference on Recommender Systems. The previous conferences
in Minneapolis (2007), Lausanne (2008) and New York (2009) have been
distinguished by a strong level of interaction between practitioners
and researchers in the sharing of ideas, problems and solutions, and
the 2010 conference will continue in this tradition.
There are three categories of "non-paper" submissions: practitioner
REPORTS, VIDEOS, and DEMOS.
Submission deadline is: *June, 1st*.
[ Please see also the separate call for long and short papers here:
1) PRACTITIONER REPORT submissions will focus on reporting experiences
with Recommender Systems. In particular, we wish to present practical
deployment of techniques and applications of recommender systems,
highlighting challenges, lessons, and needs for future research.
Practitioner reports will be presented in oral sessions at the conference.
2) VIDEO submissions provide a venue for presentations that are
difficult to convey in a paper-only format.
Examples of this include:
. Demonstrations of innovative research prototypes
. Demonstrations of innovative aspects of recommender systems
. Position videos explaining new ways of thinking about recommender systems
. Visions of future recommender technologies
. Submitted videos will be peer-reviewed for their technical
content, communication effectiveness, production quality, interest,
and relevance to RecSys.
3) DEMO submissions should report on implementations of new
recommender system technologies and concepts. Demos allow conference
participants to view novel and noteworthy recommender systems in
action, discuss the systems with those who created them, and try them
out. Appropriate demos include applications, technologies, and
research prototypes. Demos should be interactive and provide attendees
a hands-on experience.
Accepted demos will be showcased during the poster session.
