CALL FOR PAPERS ICSLP-2002 7th International Conference on Spoken Language Processing September 16 - 20, 2002 Adams Mark Hotel and Conference Center Denver, Colorado On behalf of the Conference Organizing Committee, it is our distinct pleasure to invite you to attend the International Conference on Spoken Language Processing - ICSLP-2002. The conference will be held in Denver, Colorado and is being organized by researchers, scientists, and engineers at the Center for Spoken Language Research, Department of Speech, Language and Hearing Sciences (University of Colorado Boulder), and the W.G. Voice Center (Denver Center for the Performing Arts). ICSLP-2002 is the seventh biennial conference dedicated to the interdisciplinary study of speech science and language technology. Since the original meeting in Kobe, Japan in 1990, ICSLP has enjoyed a variety of exciting venues with the most recent being Beijing, China (2000). This year, ICSLP-2002 has sponsorship from ISCA: the International Speech Communications Association. For the first time, ICSLP-2002 will offer a full TUTORIALS DAY program which will take place on September 16, 2002. This day will feature a series of in-depth tutorials offered by world-class experts in their fields. We feel this program will help encourage experts in their discipline to explore the range of topics offered at ICSLP. SUBMISSION OF PAPERS: FORMAT FOR SUBMISSIONS Prospective authors are invited to submit FULL-LENGTH, 4-page papers for presentation in any of the areas listed below (official language is English).Papers will be submitted electronically via WWW with electronic reviewer feedback provided for all submissions. We also encourage the submission of proposals for tutorials and sessions on special topics. Check the conference website www.icslp2002.org for up-to-date information. ICSLP is the premier interdisciplinary conference on speech processing, speech science, and language technology. As such, we strongly encourage submissions from all disciplines relating to speech and spoken language processing. Whether you are a linguist, speech scientist, speech pathology researcher, hearing scientist, speech processing engineering or computer scientist, we welcome your submission. Priority in the selection process will be given to applicants who have submitted a paper, whether it is accepted or not. Request for a grant must be sent together with the paper(s) submitted.
