3rd IET International Conference on Intelligent Environments, September 25-26, 2007, Ulm, Germany Website - http://www.uni-ulm.de/ie07 ***************************************************************** ********NEW: March 30, 2007 Paper Submission Deadline************ ***Due to multiple requests to allow more time for submission**** ***************************************************************** DESCRIPTION It is our pleasure to invite you to participate in the 3rd IET International Conference on Intelligent Environments (IE'07), which will be held at Ulm University in Ulm in Southern Germany from September 24 to September 25, 2007. As the third in a successful series, this conference will provide a leading edge forum for researchers and engineers from across the world to present their latest research and to discuss future directions in the area of Intelligent Environments. The Conference will focus on intelligent environments which is a rapidly developing area for industrial and academic research. Intelligent environments are spaces such as cars, offices, shopping malls, homes, and even our own bodies, that are able to respond "thoughtfully" to our needs. Over the last decade a number of research areas have contributed to the concept of intelligent environments, these include ubiquitous computing, pervasive computing, embedded intelligence, intelligent user interfaces, human factors, intelligent buildings, mobile communications, domestic robots, intelligent sensors and ambient intelligence. The Conference aims to bring together researchers from both industry and academia working within the various disciplines that constitute the field of Intelligent Environments. It is hoped that this will help to identify inter-disciplinary opportunities, stimulate research and create links between industry and academia allowing the exploration of new frontiers in the area of intelligent environments. The conference will be supported by the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) formerly known as the Institution of Electrical Engineers (IEE). The conference will be also supported by the German Society of Computer Science (GI). The conference proceedings will be published by the IET. CONFERENCE THEMES Papers may discuss theories, applications, evaluation, limitations, general tools and techniques.
