Department of Computing was among the first in Hong Kong
to offer education in computing. We have built up a comprehensive
suite of programmes to cater for different needs, and a suitable
balance between theory and application. We continually review our
programmes, to ensure they evolve to cater for this fast developing
field. In our full-time degree programmes there is the Sandwich
option, which requires work in a company for a year. This is very
popular with both students and employers, and has received strong
endorsement from world-renowned IT experts. Our academic programmes
include collaborative courses with other disciplines such as Business,
Commerce, Accounting and Electronic and Information Systems. In this
vein, we have introduced two new MSc programmes in E-commerce, one for
top executives and another for the mainstream technical and next level
managers.
